MP: 108.4 BB (VPIP: 29.41, PFR: 25.88, 3Bet Preflop: 7.02, Hands: 177)
Hero (CO): 100 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has A♦ K♠

fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.48 BB, BTN raises to 8 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 5.52 BB

Flop: (17.4 BB, 2 players) 3♠ Q♣ 8♣
Hero checks, BTN bets 12 BB, fold

posted a similar hand yesterday in the advanced thread but it was facing a SQ..... can i really just fold pre?!! it's such a small sample but meh... let nits be nits

I've swapped from calling and calling flop, now here i x/f flop and i'm lighting my redline on fire

4bet calling feels sucky and 4bett folding...:f_frown:

much better if you fold pre because your plan is x/f if you dont hit, and x/c if you hit.
problem is If you hit K you are not commited :)

The sample is small to look at his 3bet. I prefer 4bet bluffing preflop instead of folding. If your green line goes up, don't worry too much abt. the red line.

Guys, thats only 84 hands, not quantifable at all. Wouldnt think about folding vs btn 3bet but rather about 4bet according to playability of AK OOP

I would 4 bet here too. We will be OOP and we want the initiative.

I agree 4b here but we have to 4b/fold vs somone who seems so nitty. I would imagine villain to only 5b QQ+ and AK. If he flats us then how do we proceed postflop? Fit/fold?

On that particular board we should just give up OTF, in the wake of huge money he pumped into he wont be likely to fold anything
