Hello everybody ! I would like to start playing these type of sit and goes on Pokerstars but as never played them before I was wondering what should I know about them in the very first ? Is there a specific strategy that I should stick on ? Also where can I find some good content about them , some strategy articles or videos ? Thanks very much !

I always play like a TAG style on the Fifty50’s and try to steal a lot, because most players folding a lot on steals on the $3,50 and $1,50 games. That works well for me, but there isn’t much content here. The only video I could find is the video The Fifty Fifty Guide - Introduction.

I hope this helps a little bit ,but if you have more questions don’t hesitate to ask them.

Cheers,

I have played those some amount myself too.

Importan to know is Fifty50's are half like double or nothing and half winner takes it all. If you have played DoNs before, you have to forget the strategy that works at DoNs. You have to be active and bully the table 7 and 6-handed as much as you can with big stack. With small stack it`s more surviving obv but you can still shove much wider than at DoNs.

If you don`t have HoldemResources Calculator yet, I recommend you to download it and go through lot of spots with it.

I had played around 350 of these turnies in last week. I would say its a really hard format. i made quite a loss trying to play optimal :/ unfortunately i have no poker software to track and improve my progress

Hi guys,

Really appreciate your feedback about some situation in the game

Hand 1: When I reviewed the hand with Poker Tracker 4, it had me folded here, which I found very counter intuitive. We can't fold to the money :f_frown:

Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 14.59 BB (VPIP: 25.93, PFR: 20.57, 3Bet Preflop: 9.80, Hands: 192)
CO: 5.48 BB (VPIP: 11.72, PFR: 7.26, 3Bet Preflop: 2.08, Hands: 149)

Hello sylar1936

Welcome on the PokerStrategy forum :welcome:

I recommend posting hands in our Hand discussions for Sit and Go-Tournaments next time.
Then you get faster feedback for sure.

First hand I would shove here as well for 3bb effective as short stack. You haven’t much fold equity left and after this hand you need to pay the blinds as well.

In second hand I would shove approximately 55+ A4s+ A9o+ KJs+ KQo with still 2 shorter stacks left on the bubble. So KQo is a good push here.

Best regards,
SDK1987

I played these but found it too much effort for a small win waste off time off you ask me
They not hard to win but lot off sitting on hands and slow play
Maybe IFF you put up 10 to 15 at a time

Indeed. I used to play more than 12 tables at once and specially on the $3,50 and $1,50 regular speed Fifty50% a ROI of 10% is still possible on long run. So than you win a lot of money if you play a lot of them.
