Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9♣ 8♣

fold, UTG+1 calls 1 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 1 BB, BTN raises to 3 BB, fold, BB calls 2 BB, UTG+1 calls 2 BB, fold

What do you consider in this situation before determining to call or fold this hand? I think my overlimp is ok, but after a raise I don't know.

If you over limp here than you should call his 3x raise as well with 98s.
Otherwise you shouldn’t limp in the fist place.

I would normal isolating the UTG+1 limper with a raise between 240 and 300 and fold on a 3bet. This way you have the initiative in the hand and you will play the hand most of the time in position as well.
