[SH] Missed flop vs c-bet raise

We are mw so just x flop. No need to do such expensive fancy moves.

I'm not sure that the flop call with this hand is fine. Even some of his bluff (if he has them in this spot, which I'm also not sure of) have better equity than we have (Ax). It's true that there is no much sense to raise there with a set, but the BTN probably doesn't know that. I also don't think that cbetting this board with our hand is the best play multi-way, especially when we don't have position, but it's probably fine. When we decided to cbet, I think we have to fold to the raise.

As played, we can't bluffcatch the turn because we don't have a hand, so I guess that donking is the only way to win the pot. This time it was successfull, but I don't think that this flop/turn line will be profitable in general.

Yeah, you're right, CB this fllop wasn't necessary at all. Good point.

Alleen86, I think BU is kind of aggressive, have you seen his AF? I'm sure I must have seen him raising postflop liberally before.

Our cbet on flop is as a bluff, so when we face aggression we must fold.

The problem is that we don't have a hand to call with to his flop raise, I think, unless we know that he will mostly fold to our turn donk or that he will not bet the turn if we check and he will fold the river afterwards. It looks to me that we played our hand as a bluffcatcher on the flop and the hand is not strong enough to be a bluffcatcher. If we think that he is bluffing alot, I think that with our hand it's better to try to rebluff him.

I just had terrible session last night and ended up losing 3buy-ins. Afterwards I analysed my biggest loses and all of them were in this kind of spots. I took a note that I shouldn't ever call these raises because they were always 2 pair+ and It it wasn't and we went to showdown I lost with my K high to a A high. Now we can do this against this villain because we have some info of him but against unknown I wouldn't call flop. Cbetting is also unnecessary.

First advice - why you are siting on the table with loose aggresive (probably maniac) behind - sit out and find better table.

About hand - probably x/f flop 3way. In general I don´t like this play, on these limits there are another spots where we find some money. But when you called this raise, what was your plan? Do you already plan to donk turn? If so, maybe it can be interesting since villain is probably full of air but still I wouldn´t do it - don´t want to play a game with maniac who make bigger bluff.
