[SH] KK turn A: check-back/fold

Can we bet turn on that card? If we plan to fold river can we turn our hand into a bluff?

I would bet the turn and check back or fold the river (if he bets). If we check the turn, I feel like we have to bluffcatch the river, but not sure vs this sizing.

Pretty much word for word what I was going to say. Something like 87s isn't folding the turn, especially if villain has a vague understanding that the ace is a good barrel card.

Good point about the good barrel card. Heck, JT may not be folding turn either for all I know.

I guess I have this fear of aces, because for some reason I think that on lowest micros fish never folds an ace preflop, regardless of the kicker. How rational do you think it is?

Mmm, it has some reason but it is not always true. It is villain dependant. That is why you should watch carefully and take notes.

Definitely, but I'm very attentive (I play one regular table), I think I just don't know how to use this information mathematically, I never thought about it.

So I just played around in Equilab, and his range of any ace, 22-JJ, any broadway, and suited broadway 9 kicker will definitely be calling this turn 66% of the time. Whereas if only we remove A2o-A8o from his range it suddenly drops down to 46%.

Bottom line is: against someone who doesn't call every ace preflop we can often make a profitable bluff on an ace, but against someone who does we can't. Seems pretty straightforward: see a fish calling with weak offsuit aces, make a note and never bluff it on an ace.
