[Closed] pair of 9's - "check" mistake?

was it a mistake not to cbet?

0.05/0.10 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9♣, 9♥
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, 3 folds, BB calls $0.30.

Flop: ($0.85) A♥, 7♥, A♦ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($0.85) Q♥ (2 players)
BB bets $0.60, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $1.45

yes. cb. He might have the ace but you need to find out quickly. Bit too passive here. Bet, if he calls then you can give it up later

Yep, with SSS c-bet is obligatory. There are some rare occasions where c-bet is not advisable against one opponent, depending on the board and villains stats, but as a beginner you should tend to always c-bet.
