tight readsonopponent. wasnt shure, but if ifold this raise, they will give no credit anymore. beside the 2:1 odds i decided to call.
but it was a tough one
thoughts ?
should you rather push this pair in first place to avoid those spots ? i think yes, but its not a move i allways make UTG
i think this is a good sample hand for argu about pushing pockets.

Nice sample, tho i think 88 is a borderline for me. I would prefer to shove it UTG if played tho.

with the monster stack in bb I throw this 88 utg away quicker than I think about the possibility of raising :) so I open fold...

As played I would call and hope !!!

i think folding is a bad play with 88 and such a low stack.
although my M was above 5 i would prefere shoving this hand all in.

i like the call as played because zomg pot odds... they are really really awesome.

LOOSE:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 45.298% 44.61% 00.69% 80209378 1232229.00 { 8c8d }
Hand 1: 54.702% 54.02% 00.69% 97118084 1232229.00 { 66+, A9s+, AJo+ }

TIGHT:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 36.587% 36.38% 00.21% 44853030 253773.00 { 8c8d }
Hand 1: 63.413% 63.21% 00.21% 77925312 253773.00 { 99+, AJs+, AQo+ }

against tight opponents we still easily have the odds to make the call so...

i like the openraise. it looks stronger than a shove from this spot imo. plus we're not committed to call if a bigger stack shoves.

Well it's kinda like your mp... now that I see it's 7 handed :) Didn't look closely enough... yeah I believe 88 is shove now... 77 ok also... 66 I'm folding..

Though some sample of the payout structure could be nice... The big final table bubble is worth like 100$ or some right?

wee. yea that was exactly my opinion in first place.
but after this tough decission i was hunted in my dreams for shoving this hand instead of having such an odd call
