I don't know Kybberie but is there any way one should not push the last $20 in the middle with a river spr of 0.2? Looking ahead on the turn knowing that I pot it there with overpair and double nutflushdraw KNOWING I would only have $20 behind on river I would push with my entire range here. So many draws didn't make it, and will you still fold if you check river and he bets? He could bet with anything there as well after you check. Betting 20 to win potentially 90+20 only requires you to win the hand 18% of the time right then and there (even if you have 0% equity and you think you get folds 18% of the time this would be a profitable play), and if villain calls you will be getting the following odds (20 to win 90+20+20) which would mean that at showdown you only need to be winning the entire pot 15% of the time to break even.

You can't really think here that as long as you win the pot 18% of time the bet is good. Let's say his calling range is 2pairs+ and he folds everything else. How does the outcome (your winnings) change compared to check-calling the river? When he has a better hand you lose the same amount, when he has a worse hand you win the same amount. So if those are his ranges, your bet is meaningless.

The first question is "why do you bet?" Why betting is better than check-folding or check-calling? Of course check-folding is pretty weak, so let's just focus on betting vs. check-calling.

The answer can't be "the pot is so big and I have so little money behind". Do you want your opponent to call or to fold? (call=valuebet, fold=bluff)
