ok so I have 33 on this mega wet board of 6-3-4ss, I plan for a check raise, witch looking over it is a huge mistake to being pot committed to call his river bet when draw completes, 3 reasons for leading with a donk 1 - if villain has any value hand or draw he might raise this flop, in witch case I can just shove instead of being pot committed by the river, 2 - if he doesn't raise we can still extract value from his entire range where as if we check raise he may fold some OPs. 3 - we can bet flop bet turn and bet/fold river without being potcomitted to make a bad river call

Do you agree? I would also love some feedback on this hand too

The donk on river is for value here.

Agree with nitrol. Donk-betting the river might be a bluff sometimes, but after you raise flop and bet turn he is not bluffing, he's got the best hand.

I think we don't need to call this BTN vs MP 4x. As played, we are probably beaten on the river. I don't expect him to value bet worse or bluff with a busted flushdraw.

The call preflop is Hero dependant. :)
Some players like to call here.

I don't know how you can say the donk on the river is never a bluff, villain will shove with any 2 diamonds to try and steal the pot.

Anyhow my questions are still left unanswered

I don't think it's never a bluff, but I think that it's not a bluff often enough to justify our call.

i think your missing the point please read what i wrote above about taking a different line, so we don't pot commit ourselves when draw completes because i belive i played incorrectly by check raising

I do not understand why do you bother that you will be pot committed?
I think that the main reason to call preflop is to hit a set and pot commit and put all your money in...

Something is strange with the hand or your explanation because you are talking about check/raising and you are in position, so you can't check/raise. Did you post the wrong hand?

It is almost never a bluff because you look so strong here. Only an idiot would try to bluff you here.

He was an idiot, and you giving the guy to much credit he isn't even thinking about how strong we look, he will just see his missed draw and a chance to represent a straight, im not sure weather or not this will be a profitable call but i do know that sometimes he will be bluffing sometimes he will have a 5x hand

he still has a lot of busted draws on the river with a chance to represent a straight, and take down a huge pot, and im getting like 2.6-1 pot odds. lets calculate the value-bluff range

18 combos in the bluff range
AKs, AJs-A8s, A2s, KJs-K8s, K2s, J8s+, J2s, T8s+, 98s

78 combos in the value range
55, A5s, K5s, Q5s, J5s, T5s, 95s, 85s, 75s, 65s, A5o, 65o, 54o

witch would mean we need slightly over 4.3-1 pot odds, for this to be a profitable call, so its a clear fold after doing that

but i disagree that his river donk into a huge pot is always for value

It is NL10 and the bluff donk AI is a rare thing.

Okay.. So pretty much everyone of us is saying it is not a bluff and we should fold. You say that it is often enough a bluff so it is profitable to call. Can you tell me what was the hand villain was holding? Was this a bluff?

the results are there for you to see, but if you actually took your time to read you would see that, and you swould also see that i have done some calculations and im agreeing with you

Looks like a pretty standard cooler to me, actually looks a lot more like a higher set than the straight, unless the villain is some 40/5 guy

A higher set will not play like that on turn and river. Especially with 4-to-a-straight on board...
It looks like a straight and it is a straight.

Maybe you can omit the results the next time or put them in a spoiler, it makes people biased when they can already see what the result of the hand was. Better is to just write: villain pushed river, hero??? in this format. You will generally get better quality responses. That being said, yes 2 diamonds could push on river, but on a 643 board you have to admit that generally any 7 and any 2 are also cards you don't want to see once you put villain on a(ny) draw. Sets would have gotten it in before the river with 99% certainty. Of course he could be on one draw and then suddenly rep the other once that one completes, but I haven't seen that this much at these stakes. I think you played it well, raised flop pot turn but what I learnt from PLO especially is being able to look at every street at a street-by-street basis, and with that river card, the action so far and the push on river, it is definitely a time to re-assess and not a time to insta-call (because you have a set, already invested so much, opponent must be bluffing etc.)
