Ok I played some NL10 today and was up 7$ after 3 hours or so. Not that nice but still.

So I decided to give NL25 my first shot. First it went well and I made like 10$ but then started loosing 30$. Hence overall I lost 10$

NL25 is different, players are way more aggressive. Once I started loosing I was playing on scared money and was too tight and ended up loosing more.

I could have prevented this easily on the turn by moving all in, unless villain really doesn;t believe I have K. But since I was scared to loose my money I checked it down, although I knew villain was not holding K.

Anyways... will play NL10 again from now on. Am somewhat disappointed of this first attempt.
10$ loss was variance (my 10 10 over pair ran into a set of 9s) but the rest wasn't. NL25 doesn't feel right to me yet. People just 3-bet me whenever they shouldn't and when I do hit monsters... like set of A... they of course fold.

Overall its just... that making a 25$ loss is something I am pretty much afraid off. I can loose up to 5BI with my BRM, however... thats 125$... really not good. So am kind of in a dillema.. I do want to move up because the money is just way better, but the potential loss is messing with my head.

Think steals/resteals are bit more effective on 10, whereas have to restrict their use a little more on 25. So I'm now back on NL10 and trying to get my game watertight before having another stab at 25.

Played a bit more NL25... 7$ more down same thing with AJo again haha.

The thing is... I need to look at this differently. I have a 15$ loss for the day... thats not even a BI. I can make like 3BI roughly on a good day.
My biggest downswing on stars was 6BI-7BI Nl10 and not even then I was thinking like I do now.

Maybe I should just stop caring about the money and play normally again. Will take a rest and continue with NL25 later on or tomorrow.

I think I will put my stop loss at 400$, meaning I can loose a total of 4BI before I switch down to NL10

Don't be so money orientated in your first steps at this game.. Just move up when you feel confident and if you feel like you've learned everything you can at the current limit... Like you prolly know and has been written everywhere on this site poker ain't a get rich quick thingy :)... So just study and play a lot of hands and move up when you feel confident and when you feel like your good enough for the next limit... Play on every limit is pretty different so well it'll take few days to adapt to a new limit

Oh and I am pretty close to beeing a gold member... its not really a goal for me since it will happen anyway without me especially trying to get it, but it will be nice having more videos, articles etc. at my disposal.

Last thing is I just checked my rake... apperantly I generated close to 26.55$ already on NL25. I will definatly have to move my roll to FT now since I am missing out on my rakeback.

Time for a small update.

Played while I was intoxicated. Had one weird beat for 10$ and another dumb play for 12$.. so 22$ down. Stopped right away since I knew I was in no stage to play.

Then continued to withdraw my entire roll to transfer to full tilt. Also deposited more money towards my roll (no clue why the hell I did that, so will have to correct this in the near future)

But today comes the shock. I want to deposit my money which is all on moneybookers into full tilt and get a nice little message telling me that online gambling is illegal in the Philippines and my request cannot be completed.... of course I emailed full tilt a long time ago asking them if it is possible to play from the Philippines. They of course forgot to mention this haha.

Will work around this somehow... will use an IP mask or proxy or so I guess to make the deposit.

Just also found out that the exchange rate from $ to SG$ is killing me. This transfer is costing me ca. 30$ US. This sucks... never using moneybookers again.

Ok played another longer session today.

I made around 20$ in 600 hands (my top was around 40$ but the ending of the session didn't go too well) and released part of my bonus which was 12$.

Hence it was a good day overall.

I stacked one person with 77 set vs AK. The rest was just standard play.

Biggest loss was close to 8$ in one hand because I was holding 67s and villain had 68o and the flop came 566. I just called him down till the river and didn't raise since I knew he had to be holding something good to continue betting into the turn out of position with 2/3 pot size bets.

Also I started configuring Elephant since my pokertracker trial ran out. Will be using it in the future

Tried Elephant... doesn't work on Full tilt because the HUD is weird.

Oh and I suck at playing again. Down 40$ in 450 hands.

What is it with this stuff.... I don't like donating money. I am still breakeven... after a freaking week plus now.... and I got 22$ in bonus, so I am acctually loosing money.

Hey man, great blog. I am currently grinding NL25 too, nice to see someone who is doing the same thing sucessfully. I get very swingy graph too believe me, I have +-50$ days very often, I can post my graph if you want.
