Facing Turn raise with Bottom Double Pair

Hello Everyone,

On the turn it is very unlikely that Villain has a set because he would have raised pocket kings, jacks and nines preflop. He might check pocket fives though, but since I am holding one it is also very unlikely.

He might have a higher double pair like KJ, K5, K9, J5, J9

How would you react to his raise on the turn? Call? Shove? Fold?

Your sizing on the flop is high as well. More than pot size. I would bet 2/3 pot most of the time.
His turn raise looks pretty strong with already more than 1/2 of his stack invested allready.
I expect he has to often a better 2 pair or even a straight to make a stack off profitable here.

Cheers,

Given the preflop action he can't go nuts with a hand like AK or KQ, so yeah looks like all the hands he can do this with have me beat.

with this pre flop action he could be holding any two cards. Your betting on the flop is just too big and he doesn't call here with rags.
When he moves on the turn he is probably beating you, and since it is early on the tournament there is no reason for you to get this involved.

If you had top 2 pairs, you could be betting that pot/overpot here. With bottom 2 I think against this many opponents you should try to go for 3/4-pot size bet.

On turn you are getting decent odds, but you might be drawing dead already as your opponent could have practically anything. You still have healthy stack to play, so fold here.
