Besides me and UTG+2, everyone turned extremely tight when we got down to two tables. UTG+2 is 30/23 over 123 hands, 50% fold to 3Bet, and both of us was going for the easy dead money. We had been playing quite a few hands against each other, and his range was pretty wide.
Payouts: 1st $480+$109 ticket | 2nd $356 | 3rd $267 | 4th $200 | 5th $150 | 6th $112 | 7th $84 | next payout: 8th $63
(plus progressive KOs)

Interesting hand I think. I expect he has a lot of draws in his shoving range and your blocking the nut flush draw. So I would gamble with 2 pair with in mind that the winner gets a lot more than the rest of the players.

I think you raise way to small OOP, giving him a great price to call IP and you have a hand that is hard to play post flop.

luckily you hit the flop pretty well. I think he rarely has you beat there as he is likely to call with an overpair or a J unless he is trying to protect his draws.
you also block the A vs KQ and the nut flush vs xD xD

On that basis a call is in order OTF

I know the sizing is really small, and ofcause not optimal when we are OOP. Reason behind it was that I tried to stay out of all-in situations, and just chipping up stealing alot of small pots (which had been working for me the Whole tournament). Villian folded the last three times I 3-bet him preflop.

Postflop I dont think he have many overpairs. He could have J or T sometimes, based on his range and playstyle, and ofcause alot of draws, that is trying to put pressure on me.

My experience with late-game/final table poker is really limited, so I am not too sure how to play ICM-correctly. Normally I would have been saying to myself, that if I fold, then I would still be 4th out of 8, and have a good shot at the tourny, but with the same reasoning as SDK mentioned about the payout structure, I decided to call him, and lost to AJo. I burned thru my timebank, and was really confused on what would be the right play, which is also the reason why I wanted your guys opinion. Thanks :f_thumbsup:

Even thou you say his range is pretty wide, I dont see him oppening anything less than 55+, AT+ in utg at final table, so I think preflop 3-bet may be fine, I would have been just called, but calling this massive 3-bet showe on the flop is off the line I think, you have NFD blocker and that redues his chances of making this move with a FD, that is, there are much bigger possibility he has Jx, probably AJ of course. Thats just my opinion, the way I would have played the hand. :f_thumbsup:

Out of your range, I think we can reduce his range to 55-TT AT-AJ, we possibly can add 89s, 9Ts, TJs, KQs as well and against this range we can definitely bet for value and protection
