Well played. When he only calls you OTT, its just a cooler. You have some much value from Jx, Kx, even some Qx. If you check he may check back weak Kx or Qx and you dont want to do that... so good value bet OTR :f_thumbsup:

The small note is that you should bet bigger OTT so you give him better odds OTR. If you bet like 5.5 - 6bb and he calls the pot would be 20 and you would bet like 13 OTR.
Also, preflop you could raise to 2.5 or limp and if the opponents seems tight and passive only then make the adjustment of MR almost any2, but its not wrong to MR any2 by default and adjust later

Thanks nsavov! :)

Actually I was more afraid the full house. He has many Jx combos in his range.
But I can't just check the river either... So I guess I need to play it as I did, still betting the turn a bit more. :)

The ranges are so wide in these games (and they should be), that the majority of his range OTR is trips or pairs rather than a boat.
Especially when hes not raising you on the flop or turn, he most likely has a pair/pair+draw. And ofcourse his actual hand falls in that category. 2 pair and sets want to protect, a nut straight doesnt need much protection.
Actually I believe there shouldnt be any boats that play this way...

well played.

I think readless is best to minraise polarized range on SB and limp other hands but don't fold any hand. It is also crucial to cbet flops with very high freq since you don't have position.
After stack sizes get shallower under 16bb you shouldn't have minraise range at all readless....limp any 2 down to 12-10bbs then mix of limping and openshoving comes to play. Ofcourse if you have proper sampleon villain and he is folding hisBB too much you can minraise all day long down to even 7-8 bbs.

Well played, petterix.
The just thing I would make different is betting bigger OTT. With this call on the flop, many hands ll still call a turn bet being behind.

I wonder if this is really +EV? Is it standard to play any2 against unknown opponent OOP 16bb+ deep?
Should we limp/stab or MR/C-bet 100% of our hands deep?

I found myself checking and facing a bet on turn quite often and be forced to fold my air.

No. U can definitely fold ur worse hands. Especially if the player is a loose calling station fish.

I said readless and readless we have to play 100% of hands bvb on SB deep. The math was done by high stakes players for bottom 10% hands, we should be able to realize enough equity postflop to play 100% hands.

Obv if we have aggro or stationing type of BB rules change but this is not readless yow

and you should be betting very very high percentage of flops since you don't have positional advantage. On the turn you should be barelling on most overcards...

Link or it didn't happen. :sifflote:

But yes, if the population tendencies would be tight on BB, then it would make sense to bet ATC I guess.
But at $1 games, the assumption is that opponent is station, so therefore it doesn't make sense to bet out worse hands.

Still I wonder how much I can lead pre, best 50% of hands?

What I have to say about it is...
-> If the player is bad, like a calling station fish... raising any two doesnt worth it.
-> If, as the opposite to what I described above, the player is really good, knowing how to defend and use the position well... raising any two is way worthless too.

Its just good if he folds too much pre already.
or if he calls, but is somewhat a weak tight posflop that ll end up folding.

calculations for bottom 10% hands were done in one of spin n go packs that are out there :)

I don't know what you mean by lead pre?

Population tendencies at 1$ games are that BB is folding too much hands pre, so raising any 2 readless is viable option.

What u mentioned fits exactly in one of the cases I say its profitable raising any two.
At 1$ games, I think it has a good amount of fishes that this move is not appropriated, though. Waiting a few rounds to see whats going on seems a way better option.
