Hi ,
Over the next 3 months I ll be playing poker full-time, and for that reason I’ve decided to create a challenge and, like the name says, 3 grand in 3 months, starting with 50$ ( Possible Re-load of 50$ if needed)
My challenge will be split into 3 stages, according to temporary goals and bankroll.
As to what my experience tells me, I ll be playing cash games, and mtt’s. If at any point pokerstars opens up here in the US, I ll be considering also sit n goes.
So focusing on Cash/MTT , we split it into the following stages :
I – Up to NL10 / Mtt’s Up to 2$
II – From NL10 to Crushing NL25 / Mtt’s Up to 5$
III – A Journey to NL50 / Mtt’s Up to 11$
As to live poker, I ll take any opportunities that arise, to go to the local casino, and play the freeroll tournaments, Any possible prizes will count to the challenge up to only 50% of the winnings.
To keep me organized and keep track of my records, and due to the fact that HEM wont be accepted in several platforms, I’ve created my own HUD, Specific for Cash Games, MTT and Live Poker.
The plan is to play from Monday to Friday, around 8 hours a day, and maybe on Sundays according to the MTTs being played.
Bankroll
It will be a little aggressive, but so is life and our goals, I ll never ask for easy, I ll never settle for mediocre and so this is my Journey from Zero to Hero.
I ll be posting daily on PokerStrategy , I ll be studying some videos, articles and some opinions on the forums.
Also I ll be doing some reading on some books, but we ll get to that later.
The Plan is set and so I ll say my good byes for now with :
“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!”
