ZOOM AK,AQ oop on missed flop

Second hand:

I would go for 2 barrels, his range is extremely wide considering cold call IP on CO plus his stats. The board was relatively dry and usually 2 barrels will do the job, in addition you had 2 overcards, perfect to bluffcatch on futher streets.

AP (as played): I don't see any point in calling down with two overs faced with aggression even with odds you've been given.

You can call 1 street and that is it.

First hand is a 3Bet. I understand in some situations you might opt in for a flat call against a UTG with AK but it is a rather advanced play, no need against an unknown player even if he assumes to be tight

Second hand: 1 street of value, the 3 connects too much with the flop

I think first hand is flat call vs utg, not 3bet. I would flat almost always vs utg and especially when he has 4% pfr in 44 hands.

This is a small sample to decide opening ranges, it is 7rounds... But still AKo is a flat vs UTG.

2 very different hands, 2 very different situations

hand 1, a call is definitely better than a 3 bet vs this player and check / fold when miss the flop is fine. I am even contemplating a very nitty fold pre, given that you will hit a pair 30% of the time and still not be satisfied with your hand, anything better is good but wont happen often enough to justify a call. I think the reverse implied odds are well when we hit are higher than the money to be made.

hand 2: player is much more laggy, meaning his range is much wider, I don't mind betting and barrelling on this flop and turn, hoping for a high card on the river to bet again and hopefully get a fold. Without reads I would fold to any raise though on flop or turn.

Ako versus a tight utg open is a call. On the flop u can fold without thinking back.

Thinking of AQ again, probably better line would be c-bet flop and turn and give up river.

AQo on these board i'd prefer to cbet or to c/f depending on villian. Don't see any reason to c/c unless u have good gameplan for later streets.
