The main reason I posted this hand is to post my after session hand review thinking process to see if I'm doing it right or not (I am in the learning process, so every advice is welcome).
It was a limped pot, so I put him on a 40% VPIP in Equilab, and extracted from it QQ+, AJs+ KQs, AJo+ and added 22 and 33. So this way I ended up with: JJ-22,ATs-A2s,KJs-K2s,Q4s+,J7s+,T7s+,97s+,87s,ATo-A3o,K7o+,Q8o+,J8o+,T8o+ (copy paste from Equilab). This way I had 51.63% of equity.
OTF I had top pair, and I was betting 2/3 of the pot for protecting my top pair against the one spade hands. He called.
This made me put him on the next range: JJ, 99, 55, ATs-A2s, J9s, KsJs, QsJs, KsTs, QsTs, JsTs, Ks9s, Qs9s, Ts9s, Ks8s, Qs8s, Js8s, Ts8s, 9s8s, Ks7s, Qs7s, Js7s, Ts7s, 9s7s, 8s7s, Ks6s, Qs6s, Ks5s, Qs5s, Ks4s, Qs4s, Ks3s, Ks2s, ATo-A3o, J9o, KdQs, KhQs, KsQd, KsQh, KsQc, KcQs, KdJs, KhJs, KsJd, KsJh, KsJc, KcJs, KdTs, KhTs, KsTd, KsTh, KsTc, KcTs, Kd9s, Kh9s, Ks9d, Ks9h, Ks9c, Kc9s, Kd8s, Kh8s, Ks8d, Ks8h, Ks8c, Kc8s, Kd7s, Kh7s, Ks7d, Ks7h, Ks7c, Kc7s, QdJs, QhJs, QsJd, QsJh, QsJc, QcJs, QdTs, QhTs, QsTd, QsTh, QsTc, QcTs, Qd9s, Qh9s, Qs9d, Qs9h, Qs9c, Qc9s, Qd8s, Qh8s, Qs8d, Qs8h, Qs8c, Qc8s, JdTs, JhTs, JsTd, JsTh, JsTc, JcTs, Jd8s, Jh8s, Js8d, Js8h, Js8c, Jc8s, Td9s, Th9s, Ts9d, Ts9h, Ts9c, Tc9s, Td8s, Th8s, Ts8d, Ts8h, Ts8c, Tc8s. (again, copy paste from Equilab
)
OTT I checked, because - I don't exactly know why, I think I was afraid of the draws and wanted to see what he does. He bet 10BB (half pot), which I think could have been a weak flush or a weak top pair. As I checked in Equilab at this point I had 24,50% of equity, and to call his bet I needed 10/10+10+20.5 = 0.24 = 24% of equity.
So I guess my fold was a right call, because it is very close.
So, this is how I am starting to learn to evaluate my hands, where am I doing it right and where am I doing it wrong?
Thanks guys if you had the patience to read it
