This a new table, still early in the tournament. This is the 3rd hand on the table for the player that min 3-bets. All 3 hands he have made the same think. First hand he folded on flop A high, second hand ( previous hand) he 3-bets me with J9o, and now he made it again so i assume he has a very wide range. My question here is : Should i lead on this board vs so many players ? and What do you think about turn play ?

I would reraise to 900 preflop when this many people start calling. I don't wanna play 4 or 5 way pot w KQo

Me, would not even open KQo from the position u were (dont see much value here).
If I m going to play it, than doing what metza suggests seems more reasonable for this hand.

Yeah agreed. I'm too used to 6max so KQo I open any position, but in a FR table generally its too loose to open KQo from UTG1

hahahaha sure
I admit that I always have to remember myself about appropriated OR ranges when playing these full ring tournaments _tongue:

4 betting is nasty as well, because a min 3bet could be a tell of a monster hand and indeed was folding right away a lot better.

Cheers,

Huh? He has reads the guy is min 3betting with J9o as well as generally min 3betting light.

I feel like folding to the min 3bet with these absurdly good pot odds has to be by far the least favourable of the 3 plays, with 4betting or calling being debatable. We're getting better than 10:1, folding KQo has gotta be incorrect.

So preflop : KQo is in my UTG OR, so it is normal for my to open it. If you do not like to have it in your FR OR it is ok, it is a question of taste :)
So with the pot odds that we get fold is not an option here as metza says :

We're getting better than 10:1, folding KQo has gotta be incorrect.

. I do not like 4-bet here because this tournament is in PKR and the players do no give much respect to this kind of raises and i do not expect to have much fold equity, so i do not want to play in big pot vs more opponents with this hand. And this hand is definitely not in my 4-bet range. So call for me is the best option here.

But could you say something about postflop play ?

ma6inata100 has a read that this mini-3bet is light. So we are actually between a call or a raise here.

Sure, with this odds I think we can NEVER fold. But, one think that goes against the 4bet I was thinking is the enhanced variance we ll be putting at the beggining of a tournament.

Man, PKR is that fishy?
I think I have to give it a try _drink:

U could put a second barrel in. And this would be a bet/fold line.
Still many draws possible, and anything raising there has surely u beat.
What u think?

Than is calling pretty much the only option. You don’t want to blow up the pot OOP with KQo.

On the flop I would always check to the raiser on a dry board like this. It’s likely he would try to fire more bullets if he don’t know what’s he is doing. Then you can always check/raise if you get not too much action.

If it's still early in the tournament like you said, I wouldn't open this hand from UTG. Don't know your opening ranges, but at least for me in the early stages of a tournament it'd be close to AQ+, 88+, KQs+, AJs+.

For postflop, if he's fishy enough to min-3bet really wide, I'd be inclined to believe that he can do this with a worse Kx.

You really think a huge fish will only have a strong raising range here?

So we come to the conclusion that :

Than is calling pretty much the only option. You don’t want to blow up the pot OOP with KQo.

I like the postflop strategy that suggest SDK1987

On the flop I would always check to the raiser on a dry board like this. It’s likely he would try to fire more bullets if he don’t know what’s he is doing. Then you can always check/raise if you get not too much action.

check/raise or check/fold is a better strategy than leading vs so much opponents.

inceptioner : For me the range that you suggest for OR from UTG is to tight. I definitely have more wide OR from UTG. But as i said it is question of strategy and every player has ranges that are comfortable for him.

Thanks for the opinion guys.

I liked the line u presented here for posflop play. If he bets, we can check raise and get more value... after that u would donk the turn?

One thing to notice is that the guy has to cbet in a mwp, that is less likely to happen if it were a hu pot (just a thought to keep in mind), what makes me think donking the flop is fine too.

I think fishes would not raise the bets of others often. Instead, they would just call a bunch w worse hands.

Depends on the action, but if everyone checked to you I would bet a blank turn like now.
