Villain minraising very wide on this FT which he should be doing with his stacks and fairly decent pay jumps. not sure if I should be rejamming here. most players on this FT were down 3 or 4 figs lifetime in mtt and a lot of huge icm suicide going on so maybe i was better to try ladder up?

First of all I have moved your hand to the hand discussion board :f_wink:

22 isn’t a great hand. So you need to have a decent amount of fold equity to make a push profitable and with the knowledge that most players aren’t good I would fold here for sure.

Interesting, I ran it through ICMizer 2 cos just remembered you can still run hands in free version and it says we should be reshoving extremely tight here.

If he opens 22% it says to shove 3.8% TT+, AKo, AQs :f_o:

Still got a lot to learn about reshove spots at FT. Been watching too many high rollers re-shipping 20bb w T9s :f_biggrin:

With deuces u are always facing a flip at the best scenario, or way worse. U have the smaller stack at table and doesnt hurt much the CL... making the FE low, imo. That said, I would pass it and look for a better opportunity.

It does hurt the CL, if he loses this pot he will be 3rd in chips, I will overtake him in stack size.

The fold equity shouldn't be low in theory, due to the payouts, and the fact I think he's raising very wide with his chiplead.

I put this spot in ICMizer 2, and I should shove 3.8%. Villains calling range in this spot is actually supposed to be only QQ/AK according to ICMizer 2. Of course in reality he is calling some weaker hands but should not be calling hands as weak as A8s.

ICMizer is over emphasizing these spots (yes you can bust, but you are also most likely to be the first to bust with your only option in your stack being to look for +$EV reship spots).
I would most likely go with a range of 66+,KQs+,A9s+,ATo+ . -> 9% ish having decent equity versus his calling range and ~

If you ICMize and give him a 30% opening range, which seems more realistic than the tight range you suggested, this is a range that should become fairly familiar.
