Villain is 17/12/7. Button is marked as a fish. Villain opens from MP and the fish calls from the BTN. Squeezing seems pretty std. Though if MP 4-bets I'm instafolding. Villain calls, and imo this caps his range to TT-AA, AK, AQs+ (not sure though, just an estimation). So we're basically losing to JJ, KK, and AA. Against AK we're obviously splitting. How would you play the hand?

I think you played this fine. I might have check/called otr. I think villain would have raised sets otf or ott.

I would have played it the same way (which probably mean it is a bad play  ).

I like the x on river.
As played , with that shove it can look scary for villain.

Yes. You give him a chance to bluff... :)

No, he is not going to bluff 44bb into a 132bb pot. He'll check back anything worse and save half of his stack.

Maybe you are right, but still pushing is not the way to go. Instead we can bet the amount he has left in his stack...
or it doesn't matter that much...?

I think you played it well. I would have probably played it same, except for the river. I would probably check/call. But betting out is fine, too. Like I said, I think you played it well.

Yes, I also believe this hand is strong enough for 3 good streets of value. I like the way it played out to get maximum value OTR
