Hello! Villain is 25/18/wtsd26 reg.
Flop:
I could just give up on this flop but villain has fold to cbet of 67+I have position so I decided to cbet.
Turn:
No need to barrel again as I don't expect to get a lot of folds on this turn card vs his calling range. Also our hand is bad for barreling.
River:
Villain usually bets his big flushes otr because I checked turn so he can't have A♦:/K♦:. I can't have A♦:/K♦: because I did not bet on the turn.
I will never win showdown vs villains flop caling range so I decided to bluff with half pot sized bet. I can't bet big because I would not bet big here with my T♦:/7♦: etc. that are in my range when I play the hand like this + my bet looks more like a value bet. I'm trying to make villain fold his hands with no :diamond:, like 77,88,JT,JQ. There is more combos with no diamond than there is combos with a diamond so I think that he will fold often to my bet. This time he had pocket eights with diamond and he called but that hand was not in the handrange that I was trying to make him fold.
I think that he was considering to fold his 8♦ flush here since he was thinking almost to the end of the time bank and after that he called so I think that he will fold those hands that I said earlier.
Do you think that this river bet was +ev? Also he doesn't need to fold often since I bet only half pot.
