Overview: I played this passively as it seemed like a way ahead/ behind situation. MP3 either had two spades allready, or i was ahead with my straight. I wasn't really worried about another spade since I had the queen. Is this the correct play or should I have been pushing at some stage?

i'd bet/push flop here for value. you are 8:1 favorite ageinst his range and villian has high WTS so you will be paid off often.

I would push here too but can someone explain me how forfree83 determend villain's range? Have no idea how to do that... (Especially with just 10 hands on him)

Just bet/bet/bet. You have straight and second nuts flush draw and 9 :spade: makes you a straight flush versus A-high flush. You are with monster and this is a nice spot to double up.

I would either bet/push or check/raise flop. I think your aim should be to put the money in as soon as possible.

just by using this small sample

He played 8 hands out of 10 in a row so basically he plays ATC or bad hands lik 53o etc.

Hello Johnbeattie85,

No way that Villain has A:s , % probability is just too low for that since his range is soo wide or 2 spades (you block holdings!). Therefore I prefer Bet/Push as others suggested with other arguments.

As played, reraise him on the flop to like $4, let him do the 3betting so you can push him postflop. If he calls just push it on the Turn :)

Best regards,
Gerv
