Most likely if villain has a higher set OTF he will 3bet. If he hit a straight OTT he might bet it. You are multiway, FD opened and both check, I really don't like that you gave one free card. As played folding OTR is ok since straight and higher sets are possible. Raise on the river multiway is very very often for value.

Since it is stated villain is loose passive, I don't see them folding OTT with a 60-80% pot bet so would have done the same. We can fold OTR here.

Raise on the flop to 4.5x since they like to call+ there is 1 caller between you and MP. Your raise is way too small.

Bet on the turn as your range has also straights as played and you have position on the river and you can x back most of the time.

The only hands that might occur in their range here are 22, 77, 33, 44, 55 or slowplayed premium hands. At nl5 i'd lean towards b/s t.

i like it the way you played it. A2 and some 78 etc are possible for villains and the raise on the river looks very strong

I am actually betting turn FOR INFORMATION:D They'll let you know what they hold. You can then check-back river if it plays out that way.

Yes, that was my thought. But I miscalculated a bit (forgot possibility of 77). Anyway, here's my (would-be) rationale:

• They don't have that many 7x
• We still beat some sets that will call

By itself, not enough for a pure value bet. In combination with the informational value (if raised, they aren't joking, and it is a pure pot odds issue, probably a fold) and the necessity to protect a strong hand from being bluffed out. I mean, if turn goes check-check-check, river goes check-bet, then we should really pay off a good sized bet because CO would have been begged to bluff.

Anyway, as OP played it, it is perhaps the best.

Why do you rule out so easily the 7x ? They have them.

7x is possible but I don't see that many calling our flop raise?

How many is that many? 77, 76s ,87s, even 75s are possible. It is enough 7x...

I think they are more possible than 22, 2x. And I am sure at least 1 has them.

Okay, I agree. Villain has 7x hands here. 87 might fold to a raise, it has only gutshot and maybe weak BDFD. 67 might fold also. Maybe. But yeah, villain has 7x hands.
