SB: $10 (100 bb)
BB: $26.47 (264.7 bb)
UTG: $14.90 (149 bb)
MP: $10.80 (108 bb)
Hero (CO): $10 (100 bb)
BTN: $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A Q
UTG raises to $0.20, MP raises to $0.80, Hero calls $0.80, 4 folds

Flop: ($1.95) K 8 A (2 players)
MP bets $1.39, Hero calls $1.39

Turn: ($4.73) K (2 players)
MP bets $2.40, Hero??

Preflop: Not sure is it fine to cold call, but the hand looks too strong for folding or raising as a bluff, but too weak for raising for value, so I decided to call. OOP it would be a decent hand for 4bet bluffing. MP looks like a reg, playing 23/17 in 124 hands, 3betting 6,1. UTG looks fishy, playing 49/20 in 61 hands.

Flop: Hit TP on 3-suited board and he bets quite big. I think I should call once and give up the turn/river.

Turn: Folding seems the best to me.

Hero hit TP on scary board and call cbet. Villain OTT 2nd barrel which hero should respect and fold his TP. Villain has a :Kx: in his 3bet range but no need find it out.

I am a bit worried about the preflop call. We have position, we have good flush+straight possibilities but when we hit TP and villain starts firing ....
Wouldn't it be better to put pressure and cold 4b? It looks like MP is trying to isolate the fish.

Yeah, but as I wrote in the openning post, the hand seems to be too strong for bluffing and too weak for value. Nevertheless, I believe that 4betting could be more profitable move, who knows.

If it is too weak for value then it is right there for a bluff.

I like the reasons why you called pre and I think it is ok move. Imo MPvsUTG 3bet range is so tight that we might not get many folds with 4bet and this hand is too strong to fold but too weak for value. We are hunting straights, flushes, 2 pair with this hand, not so much TPTK.

If his range is so tight then call is not profitable too. And when it is not profittable, It is time to bluff. Suited and with blockers.

Normally I expect very little folds if I 4bet here but since UTG is fish MP can be 3betting him wider. I think 4bet would be ok but calling is not terrible.

Try it and you will be amazed. Only really strong hands remain after this move.

Normally villain shouldn't have that many weak hands here. Or is your 3bet % vs UTG high and contains many hands you will fold to a 4bet?

One time you say villain is tight . The other time you agree that he may be wide cause of the fish opener.
Normally villain with 6% 3b , as here, will not only 3b KK+ here. He will have some bluffs too.
And we 4b not to play postflop. We want the pot now.

We don't 3bet at all. It is 4b =)

Yes we want the pot now but if villain is wide vs fish our hand crushes his range. 4bet might be better but I still don't think calling is bad.

Yes you wrote 4b when you edited your post 2 minutes before posting that
4b>fold>call might be correct but I doubt that the EV difference between 4b and call is big.

It is big. The only plus of a call is position.
