Hello. I have some problems with my PC. Yesterday I was playing online poker. And today, wenn I start my PC, I receive a message: you are victim of the Petya Ransomware. I found some informations about it on:[*****] but I can not understand how to remove it from desktop. What tool can I use to remove Petya Ransomware?

Hi Lumixa,

I removed the link from your post just for safety reasons.

Those crypto-viruses are indeed nasty. This particular one seems to encrypt portions of your hard drive so you cannot access your whole operating system. As far as I know there is no way to decrypt it. Those usually want some kind of payment and promise to unlock your computer after that but as you might understand, hackers cannot be trusted. I have encountered some of these cases and the only option to fix the computer was to re-install the whole system and all the data was lost.

Hi lumixa,

have you tried using "file killer/assassin" programs?
its software especially made to remove files and programs that are usually irremovable.
just be careful using one, because it can also delete system files

Thank you for your Help. I delete Petya Ransomware now. I wrote to virus-entferner.de an Email and they helped me to delete it and gave some advises to my Computer. It is on: Edited by SDK1987: Link removed for safety reasons. They told me, that it is a general Problem now and many people become a victim of different viruses because they open unknown Emails just for fun. Thank you so much.
Best regards!
