KK on A-high board

I think checking back flop is fine and we have to call the turn then, indeed. If he would have TP, he would probably bet the river, so I think we can go for a thin value and bet something like 1/3 or less because we have the best hand in this situation very often. But since it's a 3bet pot, I wouldn't mind to check back and take a free showdown.

checking flop is far from fine as this flop hits our 3 betting range better and we should be cbetting a lot.

Doesn't this flop hit his 3-bet calling range a lot as well? What are we hoping to get a call from?

This flop hits our range harder since he just called that 3bet he usually has weaker hands. I think we should cbet this. Villain will call one street with some weaker hands and if we check this he can easily push us out of the pot. We are almost never checking our aces here.

As played turn is a call. OTR villain would most likely bet his pair of aces again so hero is missing a valuebet OTR.

So, if the opponent if unknown by default I would play exactly the same.
If the opponent is quite good regular he most probably will call with TT+,AJs+,AQo+. It is a standard coin flip on the flop, so checking is fine. But if we play against the fishy player, most of the will call with any Ax and any pair and in this case we have only 30% . So, calling donk turn is fine. I'm nitty player and if we think fishy has mostly Ax calling range - I dont think we should thin value bet the river.

My experience on iPoker NL2 is that an A-high flop, players will almost never call without an A. So I don't expect a call from many weaker hands here. Think I still like a check on the flop, but agree it should've been a bet on the river - and this definitely is something I need to work on

He has some Ax in his calling range but in general this board hits us better as he will have much more weaker hands here.

On lower limits players start calling these Axx low boardsa lot with non-Ace hands. For example- 88-JJ will call your bet on flop.

Any pair and draw will call for sure. Some guys will call one bet with any two. If villain doesn't call our flop bet he probably won't call any later bet either. Thinking like that you will end up cbetting too little, missing value and cbetting only bluffs&checking value hands.

I actually think that I c-bet too much. Which may be another reason why I decided to skip c-bet in this case - seemed like a good spot - a hand which isn't very strong and a very dry flop. Of course, it could be that I should just c-bet on a dry A-high flop with any two
