SB: $4.85 (97 bb)
Hero (BB): $10.38 (207.6 bb)
UTG: $5 (100 bb)
MP: $6.77 (135.4 bb)
CO: $5.07 (101.4 bb)
BTN: $5 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7♥: 7♠:
UTG raises to $0.15, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.32) 7♦: 4♦: 5♥: (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.25, Hero raises to $0.70, UTG calls $0.45

Turn: ($1.72) 8♣: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.72, UTG raises to $1.85, Hero raises to $9.53 and is all-in, UTG calls $2.30 and is all-in

What's the best move OTT here? My thinking was that he might have overcards or FD in his range here from UTG..
Don't have enough stats on him but seemed like a reg.
Thanks

A reg from UTG in this situation smells like bullets :f_biggrin: A set over set happens around 11% of the time so wouldn't worry too much about that. I also don't think he would call a raise OTF with 88 if it is a reg. I believe you are well ahead of his range and I think you played it well.

dont really see him spazzing out with worse than 6x here that often, if hes playing overpairs/sets passively i dont see why he would call flop and then suddenly raise turn on the 4-straight.
so if you are lucky there might be some draw, and if you are even luckier hes actually really bad and doing it with overpairs/sets. this is probably too strong to fold but i am not thrilled at all facing this turn raise

There is a small chance that he is bluffing. Then why raise?

I was actually on tilt and snap shoved here. Had a rough day.. The only logical hand was pocket 66 for a complete straight. Everything else I beat.

If thaz would be case he could still be actually SEMI-bluffing (= we dobt mind him folding hos equity share).

But I do feel reg wont bluff here often. So he is either overplaying something like lower set or av overpair.

It is close. Thus hand sucks. Tough spot. Any kind of read (note) would ve really useful here

How many 6x does he have here?

Tough spot. I think shove is not wrong. He might have some lower sets or overplayed overpair.

...

In that case, he still shouldn't call with very many hands. A raise is targeting a ridiculously small part of his range. We are the ones drawing/bluff catching here.

Remember, we check-raised the flop and hit turn very well - removing the chance that we are bluffing.

Same thing there. Why assume villain is brain-dead and raising losing hands on this board? Raising simply can't be a good move since we are definitely the ones chasing and bluff-catching versus his entire range. A sound villain has 6x in his range and will raise with it. A sound villain will probably not raise turn with AA, and should most definitely not call a reraise with AA. (That said, there are many not-so-sound villains.)
