JJ 3-bet pot

Against a range of 99+, AKs, AQs, AJs, 78s, QJs, KJs, KQs, T9 you have an easy call i guess. The question is whether he plays his flush draws this way. If you assign him some top pair hands the call gets even easier.

Other option is to check behind turn and call a bet on a blank river.

I prefer to play it passive.
As played, if you bet 24bb, then you should call.

I think you are pretty much screwed here, and simply have to give it to him.

I looked for some way to "get away" credibly, but all sort of folding flop, not betting turn, or folding to the turn raise is just "being wise after the event". Villain was just lucky we had the precise type of hand that had to pay off his tricks.

EDIT: Then, maybe not. Smaller turn bet and fold to shove should work.

What strong hands will check OTT when the board is drawy? Imo this looks more like a bluff or a strong draw.
I like betting turn but I would do it smaller, maybe then we could give up when villain shoves. As played I think it is a call.

As played this is a call for me but against a SS you don't want to play postflop for any other reason then set-mining in this case so this was a x for me OTT.

you say A B and C, but your conclusions aren't what you would expect from A B and C.
fold pre? (SS villain has too short stack to setmine profitably)
fold flop? (missed set mining)

i am just saying that while you have reasons for calling pre and calling flop, they aren't the ones that you are saying

My opinion: x OTT because you don't want to risk an AI with an OP against a SS
Further discussion: It can be argued whether we should call OTF. For instance, w34z3l explains in one of his 6-max lessons that we should fold OTF if we do not hit the flop (regardless whether we have an OP)

as far as i am concerned, with this limited info, i probably just 4bet and get it in preflop.
otherwise, even if you feel that he has a nutty range, it's tough to fold preflop a hand as strong as JJ in position for this price. but the potsize bet otf can motivate you to find a fold ♦ it's tough to say he's just randomly bombing AK or something worse often enough and you block many straightdraws (just in case he actually has bluff range).

I'd most definitely 4bet JJ on the button...BB 3betting re-steal?

I don't mind getting AIPF with a JJ button steal facing a 5bet...

However as the hand played out...No fold would be coming from the HUD less chicken
