Villain had a JTo

Hi guys! After many years I came back to play, and I am a little rusty.
So I need a little help with this hand.

The villain is unknow. Do you guys think I did the right thing raising him on the floop?
Also I felt not like my hand was strong enough, so I played a little bit too passive on the turn and river trying to control the pot size, do you guys think I should have been more aggressive?

Thanks!

Well, basically I don't like raising on the flop because this is limped multiway and ppl can have hit anything and by raising we will narrow their range. But since villain minbets OTF too it is ok to increase the pot.

I would have raised this pre flop. Then you could bet turn again. When you check turn, river is a clear valuebet.

Flop raise is required as well as some 3bet pre-flop

We cannot 3b as they limp. :)
We can raise though.
I like raising the min bet on flop. There are a ton of weaker hands we can charge.

I would raise pre here as well. Flop is just a C-bet.

As played, I might thin value bet here OTR

Preflop: Do what you are comfortable in doing.

Flop: Raise is fine to buy position. Be utterly careful if the guy behind you calls.

Turn & river: You have top pair and are entitled to win one more bet either on flop or turn.
