CO 66/18 3bet 0 - 35 hands

At the time He had only been at my table for 5 hands but already looked a weak player to me, he had open limped 9To UTG, and done some weird small bets on every street in another pot

OTF I decided to just call his small bet to keep his worse Aces in
OTT again just call his small bet and call any bet on the river as long as its not a diamond
OTR now he bets comparitively big so I assume his Ax with a diamond got there

Should I have played it differently? Raise flop 3X and then shove turn?

The flop is for me a clear raise for value and protection. There are a lot of bad turn cards what would hurt our hand against his leading range. As played I would fold the river as well.

+1.

I always raise this flop vs weak opponents.

As recently learned on my failure to bet/raise an "ace flop" with my AK, it left me not really knowing where I stood in the hand, so I agree with your thought of raising the flop bet. If called, I'm not sure I'd shove on the turn though with that 4th diamond there and definite fold on river unfortunately.
