CO 44/25 3bet 20% - 60 hands
I think his stats arent accurate for how he had been playing up til this point he hadnt been 3betting lots, this was his first 3bet vs me and I had been raising probably slightly more than normal since I got the CL, but not totally out of line

Poker Stars, $3.13 Buy-in (25/50 blinds, 6 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 5 Players

SB: 1,312 (26.2 bb)
BB: 1,483 (29.7 bb)
Hero (MP): 3,759 (75.2 bb)
CO: 1,121 (22.4 bb)
BTN: 1,325 (26.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 7♣: 7♦:
Hero raises to 125, CO raises to 1,115 and is all-in, 4 folds

Results:

Spoiler

CO mucked and won 355 (224 net)

ICMizer says call (10.0%) 55+,A9s+,ATo+,KQs
77 is +0.98%
but I dont believe the range is accurate for this player 17% 33+,A7s+,A5s,A4s,ATo+,K9s+,KJo+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s I can not see many people at this level shoving all those hands

even if I change his range to something like 22+,A6+,KQ it still says call (10.1%) 44+,A9s+,ATo+
77 is +1.49%

Even taking all that into account woudl you call when this is the first time you've been shoved on?

You can ask yourself what you would shove for 22bb effective, because that’s a pretty big shove I think. I wouldn’t be surprised if he would shove tighter here and also it’s not likely he would 3bet QQ+ the normal way. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he shoves only like 77-JJ, ATs+, KQs and AJo+ against you and then is a call –ev for sure.

Cheers,

I forgot to say before about his stats, he had been playigh tighter up until this point, when we got 3 handed as chip leader he started playing a lot of pots and thats why his stats look pretty loose

yeah it didnt make a lot of sense to me, I think he probably just wanted to win the pot right there and not see a flop, I guess there might be a few small pairs in that range but not sure there are enough to make it profitable for me to call.

If he somehow subconsciously presumes that you will be able to make a right ICM call he will be shoving a lot tighter and that makes it an easy fold.
