AJs flops trips vs villain shove

I am not sure if I would call the minraise but rather 4bet here. We have too many callers.
As played, I find a fold. Villain wasn't raising with anything lower than AT...

I guess it is an easy call.
1) our opponent min3b preflop at micro - this could mean 3 thing -
a) small or middle pair
b) monster QQ+
c) ATs+,AJ

So, by equilab calculations vs

• {22+,ATs+,AJo+} - you have 79% equity - easy money, not sure he would overplay 22-99 here
• but even vs {TT+,ATs+,AJo+} = you still have 59,17% equity
• if opponent would min 3b any AX+PP and shove with {TT+,A2s+,A2o+} - you still have 68%.

In all cases you have no fold - especially, our opponent quite short and seems fishy.

I tend to call more than to fold. I will fold A9...

I don't know. But the question can be avoided according to your own taste. If you would like to fold to a push, then raising flop smaller is better. The general idea is to chose bet sizes so that later decisions (for you) become simple and harder for the opponent.

I think it would be better to 4bet pre flop.
OTF I would call the shove. Villain is short stack and probably recreational player, he has plenty of weak hands and any weaker A will go broke with that stack imo.

If we 4bet preflop we have to make it to something like 20BB to isolate the BB, I believe. So we would have to call his shove, imo.

I like the way the hand is played. I think he has enough worse hands OTF.

As Alleen86 said, if I 4b pre flop, I would have to call in case villain shoved. Is it really a good idea to 4b pre flop?

I'm not very comfortable to 4bet it for value, so I rather choose a call.

It may not be a value 4b. We thin the field or are happy to collect the dead money. Plus we have blockers.
