JJ on the river. bet for value or x back river?

Bet-folding involves betting small, not investing 80%. You have invested 3.15, and have 6.85 to go. You could bet 2.5 and still easily fold.

I'd check myself, since the amount of hands that could call is not that big. There's always the risk of getting bluffed out (tough small, but so is his calling range). A less wimpy player than me should bet-fold small because a less wimpy player easier gets called.

I think villain would most likely bet QQ+ OTT so we probably have a better hand than him. So basically I don't think it would be bad to bet and go broke. On the other hand the amount of hands in villain's range that can call your bet OTR is very small so maybe rather check behind. Villain can slowplay nuts sometimes.

With no info I would check back. I dont think people are 3betting TT and lower from the BB.

I think a xb and small bet both can be argued as there are definitely some hands that will call you off.

I would also bet small, like $1,50. We are targetting AK-AJ.

Ok, I x;ed river and villain showed TT so I was thinking that I missed some value otr. I think betting small like some of you have suggested is the best play here even though villain can sometimes slowplay turn.

Reasoning carries a warning flag. You didn't miss 1.0 bets. Not even versus the particular hand TT did you miss 1.0 bets. A good aggressive opponent will see a river suck bet for what it is. If he plays right, he'll bluff reraise you some times. Thus you missed perhaps 0.05 bets in the long run. Or you saved 0.05 bets. Who knows?
