I think it is a good fold unless you are sure you will get paid off if you hit one of you 6 outs. Betting the flop might be good since you don't want him to get a free card and you should be ahead of his range most of the time. However when he checkraises you here it looks very strong. He probably has an overpair.

Against the range 66+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,A8o+,KJo+,QJo which is a likely rasing range for the big-blind you have 62% equity.

Also, if he is bluffing he probably has a hand that can improve to a better hand than yours but at the same time wont pay you off if you hit at straight or a set. That is one thing you should keep in mind.
