he was playing kind of strange, do many wierd things. But he would for sure go broke with TP no kicker hands..
I wouldn't bet the turn. Opponent is strange and I don't mind taking free card. It disguises your hand a bit and every K, J or spade make you huge favorite.

this is a spot where you arent geting 3 streets of value . so you probably bet turn and check behind river or check turn and bet river
i would like the pot control line especialy against a strange opponent because this way i always get to see the river and you can get him call with weaker pairs then yours . as played its a fold on the turn

if you bet that turn, you have to call a shove, you have so much equity, and could be way ahead a worse draw (could also be behind a better draw ♦)
this is why i prefer to check behind. it's bad to bet fold with so much equity imo
