No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

Hero (BB) ($20)
UTG ($61.51)
UTG+1 ($99)
MP1 ($103.65)
MP2 ($18.50)
MP3 ($52.65)
CO ($106.20)
Button ($10.20)
SB ($17.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2, 2
6 folds, Button calls $1, 1 fold, Hero ?

Can I play for his 10bb stack with 22?

I thinking his calling range here is very large and therfore you have coinflip at best, but I think you are behind most of the time.

Does this player always play short stacked or did he lose some in a previous hand?

I'd just check since your hand is playable and you can't be sure if you have any FE. 22 is always a pretty clear underdog versus this villain's calling range.

What we can be sure of though is that checking is +EV here whereas shoving is a lot less clear.

Well it's not really playable after the flop as it only has set value. I think the question here is pushing or check/folding (unless the set hits of course)

I think both are possible, you can push and you can check/fold it.
He's a bad fish, so the only thing that worries me is that he limp some kind of PP. On the other hand he can limp ATC here so pushing is slightly +EV in that case.

I would just check preflop and bet potsize on the flop if checked to me, otherwise c/f. I don't think 22 is worth risking when his calling/pushing range will be very high preflop, but he might fold postflop if he didn't hit.

OMG, still didn't drink my morning coffee.

Saw SB opencompleter instead of BU caller.

Then I would just c/f the hand, I don't think it's worth pushing with 22. You're most likely behind his BU calling range.

Would you guys shove 66+ against him then?

Yes, makes the chance of being dominated by another PP a bit smaller and you're ahead against hands like A2s and K3 :P

I'd prefer 77+, but since his stack is so small I'd prolly shove 66 also.

shove it....of course you dont run well if he calls (thats the nature of the hand 22) :P , but you have tons of FEQ
