We are on the bubble and I have 77 and only check behind because I find the SBs limp suspicious. After hitting my set on the flop I just call his bet. On the turn comes the Jack of diamond, making straight and flush possible. The SB checks and I have to decide if I bet here for protection/value or check behind to prevent a check/raise and see what the river brings. So what do you think? Should I bet? And if so, how much? What do you think of the preflop check and the call on the flop?

seeing as just you cover the SB, I would shove pre as 77 doesnt play well post flop unless you hit a set and he has to call tight on the bubble with a shorter stack in play
OTF - I raise, especially after he bets almost pot, maybe even shove to stack him if he has an A and to protect against SD and FD, there are so many bad turn cards for us.

As played OTT I think its more likely he has an A than a straight or flush after he bets the flop so big, I would bet turn about 600 then 2500 in pot if he calls and you can shove river for remaining 1500

Shoving is indeed fine against the SB limper for 13,5bb effective.

As played villain has only 2.105 chips left after his bet. So if I raise it will be an all-inn for value and protection what I would normal do on a pretty wet board like this.

The turn I would bet also like 600 as played and shove on a blank river card.
