Hi,

For starters - I hate this hand. It's good but when it doesn't hit the flop it's hard to play with and also if it hits, sometimes I feel like it's hard to get value.

V is 21/14 @ 29 hands with 3Bet 10% out of 10 spots.

It's a slim chance we are behind him if we assume that he 3bets pre with JJ+, AK, AQs and calls with 26% (236 combos). The only hands that beat us are 77 (3 combos) and KQ (6 combos) with which I assume he will re-raise either flop or turn.

How much do you bet here on the flop? I imagine it should me on the smaller side. Less than 1/2 the pot? If he decides to call such small pot with his A high we're done if A comes. So 50% seems reasonable since he will call with Kx and Qx. With other hands he is pretty much done, except of some draws. He has JT in his range, shall we bet up to 75% to protect our hand?

How do you react to a brick turn? At this point it seemed he has either middle pair which supposedly doesn't call second barrel or he called once with a gutshot / OESD. Shall we check here and bet the river?

I would normal bet approximately 55% pot on every street and on a dry board like this half pot is fine as well. Turn is a safe card for us. So betting is fine here.

With TPTK in the micros just bet bet bet
OTT I'm always betting there, never giving him a free card

My sizings arent perfect, but I think I would just bet 1/2 on every street here, unless he's a realy loose player in which case I'd go more like 2/3 or above. I've seen some players call pot sized bets with a gutshot, but obviously those fish aren't always there

Thanks guys! It was exactly my idea to bet 3 streets. I just thought maybe checking turn would impair his perception of the hand and I could get more value OTR. However it's better to build a nice pot for All-in OTR (ideally). Other option would be to re-raise his bluffs OTR, but that will happen not so often I guess.

Thanks for replies!
