Hi everyone,
today I encountered this hand at 2Plo zoom: http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/20600939_B98701CEEA

I justhad 20 hand on villain, so no history to work with.
After villain 3bets pre I thik he has AAxx a lot of the, some high rundowns and maybe JJxx+. So on the flop I called based on the pot odds vs his range, I think nothing special here. The problem is the turn, pairing the board and giving me bottom trips. I'm now dead to QQxx but ahead of everything else I give him here for his 3betting range. Villain bets half pot and I decided to stick it in. Afterwards I'm not really happy with this play, because he could have QQxx+ so easily.
What could I have make differently? Call turn, fold river to a shove? Or is it just a cooler, I wouldn't include 5h6h9sTs into a typical 3betting range at 2PLO.

Thanks for any replies

Very loose open preflop, folding this. Only opening on the button. As played you can't do anything about it. Note him for 3betting that hand, consider 4betting lighter. The 5 is such a great card for villain, it lets him get extra value from someone not wanting to lay Qxxx down or KKxx when he has AAxx. You should not have many 5x in MP.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it.
I played this hand from CO, because I'm trying to player looser in gerneral. I have a VPIp of arraound 12%, which is way to nitty!? Any guidlines on which hands I can include instead of the one above?
What kind of hands should I 4bet against this player/type of player? To be honest I usually just 4bet AAxx and hope that I can get it in preflop.:f_frown:

Thanks

You are in MP, not CO. :)

If you check that hand ranking in PPT, it says 70%. Meaning that based on PPT hand rankings (mostly based on preflop equities and multiwaypot potential) it is barely in top 70% of the hands. In other words, if you want to open 70% of the hands from MP, this is the bottom of your range. Even for more realistic ranges this is nowhere near the 50% range, so that hand in general should be opened only from the BTN. And preferably against tight blinds.

Problem in the hand is that it can't really hit anything strong. Bottom set, low end of a straight, 5high flush etc.
