Late stage of the tournament but not a bubble yet. Blinds 1500/3K, Pot with antes 7500. Average stack is 20K, Mine- 30K. I'm a small blind with a pocket pair of 9. Only one player in middle position calls (loose stile). I raise 7500. BB folds, the other player all-in. We have the same size stack. I predicted a coin flip but called all-in. I was right and faced AK.
QUESTION: was I right in my decision. I would still have average stack if I folded. My thoughts were: the possibility I win is 1:1, the ratio bank to my all-in call was 1.6:1. I considered my call as +
My poker friend thinks I should all-in first instead of raising. My argument that the result would be the same, because he would never fold AK against my all-in. Then he thinks that if I did not all-in first I should fold after my raise on the other player's all-in.

First of all I moved your hand to the tournament hand discussion forum, because its fits better there.
Too bad we don’t have a full hand history, but I would shove with a 10bb stack and newer raise with a small stack. As played I wouldn’t fold ether, because we don’t play to min cash only in a tournament.

Agreed, 10bb stack with pocket 9's over one limper. I usually play it as the nuts. Limpers often limpfold and then you have more deadmoney in the pot. If he really is a dumb idiot, you might be up against a bigger pair but that chance is pretty small so I'd be happily shoving here and not even minding a call as he would also often call pocket 7's or sth.
Also if the avg stack is like 7bb, I tend to believe this is a (hyper-)turbo tournament, there you have to take more marginal spots because you're not getting as much as in regular tournaments. I'm not saying 9's is marginal but I would even shove alot more then that!
