Hi everyone,

I have A8o and get a freeplay. OTF I check with a gutshot and villain checks behind. The turn gives me an OESD. Is it best to play bet/fold in this spot or check/call? Should I maybe already push the hand preflop?

The BTN seems like a passive player and I expect you are far in front against his limping range. Also I expect he will fold a lot if we shove. So that would be mine line here.

As played I don’t think you can something more than checking it down with ace high against a passive player like him.

Cheers,
