Hi everyone,

villain minraised almost every hand from the SB. I called here with J3o and hit bottom pair on a wet board. I check and villain cbets pot. Should I have bet this flop? Shall I call, raise or fold his cbet? I guess with such a big stack a fold is the best option because I have a lot of time to let villain make a big mistake.

PokerStars - $0.44+$0.06|100/200 NL - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 6,680 (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 40.54, 3Bet Preflop: 57.14, Hands: 41)
Hero (BB): 6,820

SB posts SB 100, Hero posts BB 200

Pre Flop: (pot: 300) Hero has 3♠ J♣

SB raises to 400, Hero calls 200

Flop: (800, 2 players) Q♣ 3♥ T♣
Hero checks, SB bets 800, ???

I wouldn’t call with a crap hand like J3o out of position and as played I would check/fold with bottom pair on his pot size bet.

I wouldn't have done it if he wouldn't have raised every hand from the SB. But you are right, this is a crap hand and I should have folded it. Even if he minraises atc, I am the underdog. I guess I have to be more patient and just wait until I get a decent hand.

If he's minraising 100% of SB I think I would defend most hands getting 2.5:1
How had he played flops before? Had he always cbet? When he did cbet did he cbet pot or less?

I do not have many other hands where the flop was seen. But he Cbetted always either pot (2x) or half pot (1x). Since I have only one hand that went to showdon I cannot say if he for instance alwys betted pot when he hit and half pot if not.

You get indeed good odds, but defending hands without much playability costs you money on long run. Especially if you play out of position. The only option would be for me to 3bet a hand like J3o if he folds a lot on 3bets.

Since I haven't had lots of info about the player I don't know if a 3Bet would have worked. But I will remind that for similar situations in the future, thanks :f_thumbsup:
