Hi all,

Last night i had the hand from below on the bubble.
When i look back now after a few minutes break i think ik was bad to shove with the 10/10.
Normaly it is a shove. But on the bubble with that many people behind me i think i made a mistake..

The CO was also a pretty safe player.... (30 hand / 10 vpip/9 pfr and no 3 betting)

UTG+1: t15357 M = 6.98
MP: t19340 M = 8.79
CO: t2805 M = 1.27
BTN: t2052 M = 0.93
Hero (SB): t3886 M = 1.77
BB: t11941 M = 5.43
UTG: t2011 M = 0.91

Pre Flop: (t2200) Hero is SB with T :club: T :diamond:
3 folds, CO raises to t2705 all in, 1 fold, Hero raises to t3786 all in, BB calls t2786

Flop: (t10977) J :club: 4 :club: 7 :spade: (3 players - 2 are all in)

Turn: (t10977) 5 :spade: (3 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t10977) Q  (3 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t10977
CO shows K :club: K :spade: (a pair of Kings)
Hero shows T :club: T :diamond: (a pair of Tens)
BB shows K :diamond: Q :diamond: (a pair of Queens)
BB wins t2162
CO wins t8815

It’s good to know what kind of SNG this is and what the blind level is. The ante is 100 for sure. So stacking off TT looks pretty standard here on a non final table.

Cheers,

Hi,

I don't no the blinds any more. But what i know is that this was a 90 players Sng.... 13 get paid and for the third time this night i ended 1/2 places from the money by making this kind of moves....

Do this help?

Looks like 500/1000 with 100 ante

I dont think you can fold TT here with just 4BB, shove looks statndard to me

I’m not too familiar with the paid outs of the 90 mans, but you don’t play to min cash only and for 4bb is a stack off with TT pretty standard and you run against the top of the range of the CO.

If you are bubbling regularly with this sort of stack size, unless you are getting crippled by a bad beat, then I think you will need to go back further in your games and look at your play when you have 10-20BB and see if there were any spots when you could have picked up extra chips like 3bet shoving, instead of getting yourself blinded down to a tiny stack

This is the best tip I had in weeks Slippyjim. What do you play most of the time?
I think my game is good enough to become a regular. But lots of times there are 2 things for me.
- I finish first of second because im aggressieve enough whit a big stack
- Or just in the money / bubble every time..

With only 4 BBs left I think we should always go with TT here even on the bubble.
Doesnt matter too much here, but for future hand discussions, I would cut out the result of the hand if I were you. The exact hand that the opponent has doesnt really help the discussion - must of the time we should look at the range of hands he could have in the spot. Also by not knowing the exact hand, people in the discussion wont have a "coloured view" because they know exactly what the opponents have.

Yeah great tip from Slippyjim :) As he kinda said, you should definitely look into the spots you know you might have problems (you already listed two). It might just be varians, but maybe you have leaks in your game in those spots - worth investigating :milord:

At the moment I'm mainly playing 3.5$ & 7$ 9mans, but have tried my hand and 18, 27, 45, 90, 180 & MTT's basically everything but cash games really haha although I do like a bit of Zoom

This definitely sounds like you need to be more aggressive/ gamble more with a 10-20BB stack, I'm not too familiar with the payouts of 90 mans but I'm guessing 1 win is going to be worth at least 10 min cashes so you can afford to gamble to try to run up a big stack to go on to win it rather than just about crawling into the money
