Two hands against shorts stacks

Hand 1, I would normally just flat but his 3bet is huge, maybe you could consider folding. You are in position and I don't think 4bet is a very good idea. You will most likely face QQ+,AK when villain calls.

Hand 2, AJo is a call for me. If you feel comfortable going broke with this hand you can 3bet. I think villain shoving on top of our 3bet is likely result because of his short stack. 3bet and call shove is not a bad line either because he might shove with wide range.

I think that in Hand 1 AQo is on the bottom of my stacking off range vs shortstacks. We can also call the 3bet imo.

In Hand 2 I would just call AJo.

Hand 1 is tricky, he 3bets indeed bigger than we used too. Most of the times ist AK or midpair. So I go for fold here.

Hand 2 i will follow your steps every day every our. No problem with your play.

18% 3bet means he 3bet 4 times over 23 hands. That could easily be 4 pocket aces in a row. I prefer just folding AQo (not even flatting it). Ofcourse if you've seen some of his hands over this 23 sample and have some read that 3betting is actually wide shoving is ok.

Just call AJ from the BB. I dont like 3betting hands from BB that are good enough to call especially when you get a discount and last to act. If we 3bet we isolate ourselves against better hands and open ourself to get 4bet bluffed sometimes - but its bad to stackoff wide even for 30bb unless you have a solid read he's tilting or just a mega maniac.

It can be, but how often this happens? I think it´s too paranoic to think in that way. I agree 28 hands isn´t enough for 3 bet, but when it´s 18%, we can expect, that he 3 bets a lot. And AQ isn´t bad hand either, furthermore he is short...
