SB: $27.52 (172 bb)
BB: $36.46 (227.9 bb)
MP: $30.24 (189 bb)
Hero (CO): $22.11 (138.2 bb)
BTN: $17.77 (111.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q♦: J♠:
MP folds, Hero raises to $0.40, BTN calls $0.40, 2 folds

Flop: ($1.04) 8♠: Q♣: 8♦: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.56, BTN calls $0.56

Turn: ($2.16) 5♥: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.35, Hero calls $1.35

River: ($4.86) 5♦: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.08, Hero??

Preflop: Standard open from CO. BTN plays 20/16 in 1,5k hands.

Flop: Cbetting for value. He folds 45% to flop cbets when IP.

Turn: I think I should have cbet again. Decided to check/call because I expect him to float me alot OTF, but he calls 75% to turn cbets when IP, so I think cbetting for value would be better.

River: He bets under 1/2 so it doesn't look like a bluff to me (or does it?). On the other hand, he might think that Ax is the best hand, but on the third hand, I don't think he would value bet that thinly when he can just check back and realize the showdown value.

Difficult hand indeed. You have to win about 20% so I guess calling wouldn't be terrible. Folding seems ok too. Maybe you can just flip a coin and decide :)

I would play it differently. I would c bet around 70% of the pot OTF, then cbet OTT with same size. OTR if villain bets I think we have to fold.
