Pre-flop I would most likely make it 2,2x or smaller. 3x is to big in this phase of the tournament or you playing against a lot of passive players at the table. As played I would always fold on a 3x 3bet with AJs. You are playing out of position in a big pot and you could end u dominated if you hit an A.

As played it’s good to know why you lead the flop with only 1 over pair and no draw. I don’t think most players will fold to often here on the micro stakes.

I'm surprised he 3bets then folds to your lead, he shouldn't be folding a PP, 2 :spade: s, AK, Qx

Did you have a read on him that he 3bet a lot, or that he was weak post flop?

Anyone considered folding preflop to the 3bet? You're only happy when you flop like toppair and a flushdraw. J hi flops can easily be dominated by QQ+ and Ahi flops can often be dominated by AQ+. I don't think he's 3betting too many low pocket pairs and AT-. And even if he does, we won't win too many chips postflop then. Also we're OOP postflop so I'd often fold to his 3bet unless we have a read or something. Too much guessing work postflop.
Btw, this early in a tournament and 50bb+ deep I don't mind making it a little big bigger preflop from early postition but I wouldn't go bigger then 2.5x.
