Hi I have been doing a load of reading, studying since taking a break and want to start using a hud what's your opinion on them and are they worthwhile?

Personally I like using a HUD as it really helps me after games with reviewing my hands and my performance.
Among other benefits you can also export your hands and post them on the forum for discussion with other members.
You should take a moment or two to Introduce yourself! to us properly.

Most of the good players are using a HUD and I personally like it also. It definitely gives you a small edge. For example you can start stealing someones blinds or 3betting him if you know he is folding a lot. That info would be more difficult to get without a hud.
Using a hud is not necessary and not using one might even improve you as a player because you have to pay more attention to the game. If you play on a site where huds are not allowed you might have a softer player pool.
