My name is Anthony Fox and i have been playing poker in various forms since i was 15 years of age, so when online poker became popular i like many others started playing online, when i had the time i would play mtt tournements and most times would end up in the top 10 percent and occasionally i would win the tourny, my player name is foxykins check out my stats if u wish, my problems began when i started playing at 888 poker as i found myself constanly disconnected during gameplay, i even have screenshots of the winning hands that i was unable to play as the software froze, this was not an isolated incident, being disconnected during tournements happens frequently to my estimate over 1000 times during the past few years, when i raised this issue with 888 i was told it wasnt thier problem and the software is working fine but after months and years of this happening regularly as clockwork and myself changing my tech and also my isp the same problems kept reoccurring, my suspicions are that either the poker room itself is throttling the bandwidth so as to disconnect players or a few shady players are responsible, either way i do not think i am alone in having these problems with the site as many other players are complaining about the same thing, this sort of disconnection problems also happens on thier casino site even if you have a hefty bet on the software will disconnect you, i believe the reason for this is to antagonize and frustrate the player therefore making the player tilt and inevitably losing thier money to the site as the emotional response to being disconnected all the time is often anger and as any halfway decent player knows anger has no place at a poker table as your judgement is impaired, so my advice to any would be future poker player is to avoid 888 like the plague, reason being as soon as you show signs of being a decent player they will do everything in thier power to disrupt your game, and all because they dont want to scare away the fish who will pile thousands into the site if they think they have a chance of winning, most times they dont when playing a player who has experience apart from on these online sites where the miracle 1 outer always hits, a lot of players have become very wise to this and play very cautiously as they know the software will do its best to cheat them, supporters of 888 will no doubt say this is a common occurrence in poker and nothing to worry about, I beg to differ as the probability of these sorts of hands taking place are astronomical, you will not experience as many badbeats as you do at 888 if you play live games, you will experience some but nothing on the scale of what i have experienced at 888 and i suspect it is the same for many other players. so after 4 years of constantly being disconnected, software freezing and all the other problems i have come across at 888 i can only come to the conclusion that this site is bent as a nine bob note and people should stay well clear of it and even go to the lengths of petitioning for the entire site and its various other operations to be closed down permanantly as they are nothing but cheats.
