To cbet or not to cbet, that is the question

I would say, not to cbet ♦
Cbetting might not be bad but really it might not accomplish much. When we think of mp's calling range and your Ac, I would say he doesn't have many flush draws. So with a cbet you would fold out his air but some part of his range will call.

As played, I would bet the turn instead of river.

Bet flop. On the river your equity dramatically improves and you....... check. Why? Bet!

When in position and they check to you, you have to consider few things when you decide to cbet (when you have no showdown).
- your perceived range (how the opponent think you have connected)
- flop texture (dry/wet)

The more your opponents think you have connected the more they will fold. (Say you raise from cut off, flop is K74 rainbow. Is good flop for cbet)

The dryer the flop the less likely your opponent flopped something (draw, middle pair...) the more inclined they will be to fold.

Here the flop is rather wet (flush draw+middling cards) and it does not really hit your range. So your cbet will not get enough folds, better check behind.

Also consider you have some showdown value. AK might be the best hand. So it is another reason to check behind.

I agree that we can skip thw flop cbet.
Betting turn is obvious.

On that river card, definitely yes. He can have some slowplayed better hands and he probably doesn't have very many weaker hands that will call one more bet on this river. So when we have an option to close the action and see showdown, we take it
