BTN: 54.64 BB (VPIP: 12.21, PFR: 10.47, 3Bet Preflop: 3.53, Hands: 178)
Hero (SB): 105.74 BB
BB: 93.16 BB (VPIP: 42.86, PFR: 17.86, 3Bet Preflop: 8.70, Hands: 57)
UTG: 104.04 BB (VPIP: 23.16, PFR: 16.84, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 98)
MP: 101.5 BB (VPIP: 31.82, PFR: 20.45, 3Bet Preflop: 11.76, Hands: 45)
CO: 109.7 BB (VPIP: 25.93, PFR: 14.81, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 82)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♣ J♥

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 2.5 BB, Hero raises to 8 BB, BB calls 7 BB, fold

Flop: (18.5 BB, 2 players) 3♠ T♣ 4♥
Hero bets 10 BB, BB calls 10 BB

Turn: (38.5 BB, 2 players) Q♥
Hero checks, BB bets 28.86 BB, fold

BB wins 36.58 BB

The BB is a fish. No further reads on him.

What is your preferred turnplay here? I chose to check because it makes the river easier to play. I would fire another valuebet if it went check/check. On the other hand he can bluff us out (as it happened, not sure if he was bluffing though).

Optimally it should be a check/call on the turn, but we're blocking some of his possible draws and Qx is certainly in his range, plus we'll be oop facing a difficult decision on the River. Leading would have been easier for sure, but a check gives us more options. Hard to say which is best.

Well I think you did well, in my opinion as he is a fish he could easily be calling AA, KK, QQ, TT, AQ, KQ to your re-raise, even thought usually AA, KK are for 4-bet so we might remove them from the list. Anyway bet for value on the flop right and on the turn as JB12 said the best play would be raise again I agree , if called then you would have to face another difficult decision on the river since your OOP, and if he raised you, you could know he probably has you beat.
I think you played well, he probably at least has something like pair of T's but you can't say has he is a fish his playing his hand, so I think X/F was a good play there. You can wait for another opportunity later on :f_wink:

1/2p turn seems reasonable vs a fish , if i'm checking it's to check call though and bluff catch the turn, not to check fold. I think you can 1/2p though and check fold the river .Villain should only value bet his KQ AQ type hands that floated and better hands , he should check back all Tx and worse hands.

I don't like just check folding the turn because a scare card hit. You can even go 1/3p on turn like 12bb or 14bb and check fold rivers. I doubt he folds Tx ott and i doubt he bluffs it either on the river , so it should be pretty easy to play if we pot control a turn bet. When we check the turn and face a big bet were scratching our heads , so just keep control of the pot and go for some thin value ott and showdown.

@Jensee
I kinda had the same thoughts as you as I went over the hand a bit more. Tx is definitely in his range. Of course, if we get raised we gotta fold. Check/fold, as played, ott seems weak in the first place, but I think it's not worth it finding it out for that price...

I like the idea of betting 1/2 on turn. If we x, then we can xcall once.
