SB: $2.34 (117 bb)
BB: $0.95 (47.5 bb)
UTG: $2 (100 bb)
MP: $7.20 (360 bb)
Hero (CO): $2.11 (105.5 bb)
BTN: $2 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K♠: A♦:
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.05, Hero raises to $0.16, 3 folds, MP calls $0.11

Flop: ($0.35) T♦: K♦: 4♣: (2 players)
MP bets $0.17, Hero raises to $0.46, MP raises to $1.40, Hero raises to $1.95 and is all-in, MP calls $0.55

Turn: ($4.25) 8♥: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($4.25) 7♦: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

not much info on the villain only 5 hands showing 60/20
My thought process on the flop is Draws are possible QdJd or similar. Giving a range of TT,44,AKs,KTs+,QdJd,AKo,KTo+I am shown as 54% favourite on Equilab. so I am right in believing we are never folding here?

Results:

Spoiler

$4.25 pot ($0.15 rake)
Final Board: T♦: K♦: 4♣: 8♥: 7♦:
MP showed T♥: T♣: and won $4.10 ($1.99 net)
Hero showed K♠: A♦: and lost (-$2.11 net)

I don't like the raise OTF. You will be isolating yourself against very strong range and you probably can't call if he 3bets there.
You have only 5 hands so we should treat villain as unknown. QJs would be quite loose call vs 3bet from MP and since you hold Ad I would say he doesn't have many draws.

I believe more reasonable range for villain would be 99+,AQo+,AJs+.

Though it is a 3b pot, I do not like raising on flop. Calland see the turn.

Does raising OTF not protect our hand from draws? If i take your range we are bigger favourite than the range i applied which surely means i should be getting it in here or i am calculating this wrong?

What are the other options on the flop? If we call OTF do we call a second barrell theres a lot of tricky turns like if the flush completes

Yes raising will protect you from draws, but the point was that villain shouldn't have many draws so you don't have to protect. By raising TPTK hands you often just isolate yourself against better hands and you are totally dominated vs villains calling and 3betting range with very small chance of improving your hand.

You can't calculate your equity using his preflop range since he is not donking OTF with his whole range. His donk is probably polarized (he has nuts and some weaker hands). In a 3bet pot on this flop his donk is probably nut heavy since he shouldn't have many draws.

It is a 3b pot and draws may not be so much. When raising you narrow villain's range and may face better hands orhands with good equity.
We can call flop and evaluate on turn. We can call on a lot of turns.

On this limit i will play the hands in the same way i think. I will hate myself if i just call and the Turn is a :diamond:

Do you know what % of time a diamond will hit the turn?

I do I do !! Only about 20%.
But since this is a 3bet pot and Ad+Kd are already known there is veery little chance villain actually has a flush draw.
+ even if there is a diamond on the turn we can keep calling because we just improved to nutFD.

You can honestly play these stakes postflop , "forget about preflop" 3bets and 4bet pots , you may understand these concepts but other people dont . Even regs at these stakes who have some understanding of ranges are very unbalanced.

When you play for your stack , you dictate when the money goes in . When they start dictating when the money goes in your likely behind. You will fold the best hand sometimes but that's good poker. If you never fold the best hand your doing something wrong.

I wouldn't of raised the flop though , call flop, call turn and maybe call river,

You don't play versus draws only. You play against nuts and bluffs as well.

Besides, he has already paid (triple price) to draw by check-raising. He'll surely fire turn.

I am aware we don't play against only draws but we still need to decide if he would 3 bet with a draw on the bet and if he does it still makes up part of his range, if you look at the OP you will see I have given a range which I think the villain has but as stated above its probably not accurate. he didn't check raise the flop he bet first.

Okay, I misread the hand (and also stack sizes). See my post as a general principle. I'd probably not even raise flop in the first place for the same reasons.

It is of course up to you to assign ranges on part of villain. I'll just say that when you are bet-3-bet and Equilab tells you that you are a favorite with TPTK, then your range assignment is optimistic (to say the least).
